Selena Gomez will be serving as a judge for a Disney dance competition for tweens. The winner of the competition will appear on Disney's Shake It Up as a spotlight dancer. According to a report from the Christian Post, the dance competition Gomez will judge is called Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance-off-Shake It Up Edition. The competition will feature finalists between the ages of 10 and 15 years old.

Fellow Disney actors Roshon Fegan and Debby Ryan will serve as judges for this event, along with Selena Gomez. When asked about judging this dance competition, Selena said the following. "I have never judged anything, I'm kind of excited."Selena Gomez has such a busy schedule, it's a wonder she can fit something like this into it. She is presently in Canada on her We Own the Night concert tour, and she only recently returned from visiting boyfriend Justin Bieber in South America, where he is performing on his own concert tour. In addition, it has just been announced that Selena will soon be playing the role of a teen who commits suicide in an upcoming film. She is one busy young lady.
Selena Gomez is definitely qualified to judge this dance competition. In addition to singing on her concert tours, she does an ample amount of dancing herself. She'll no doubt do an excellent job serving as judge. Do you think this Disney dance competition for tweens will become a regular event? Might it be a younger version of So You Think You Can Dance or Dancing With the Stars? It will be interesting to see where the competition leads.
One place it won't lead is astray--especially not with Selena Gomez on the judge's bench. Known for her honesty and integrity, she'll judge fairly--and will likely encourage young dancers whether they win or lose. Make Your Mark is scheduled to air on the Disney Channel next Friday October 21 at 8:30 p.m. Will you be watching?
