The pretty Disney starlet, who recently premiered her latest flick, Monte Carlo, and her new album, just signed a fragrance license agreement with Adrenalina to "produce, manufacture and distribute" her signature scent to fans everywhere.
At first glance, Adrenalina may seem like an interesting partner for Gomez's new endeavor, given it's an extreme sports and adventure-themed lifestyle brand. But the company is apparently expanding its tomboy roots to more beauty-themed business. And no better place to start than a fragrance with the popular Selena Gomez! CEO Ilia Lekach even said, "We are incredibly enthused to be working with Ms. Gomez and will reveal more details pertaining to the fragrance as we get closer to the launch date."
Of course, Gomez is no stranger to the sweet smell of success and stylish projects outside the realms of her flourishing singing and acting career. She previously conjured up an accessible fashion collection for juniors, called Dream Out Loud, sold at Kmart stores.
The real question is whether Selena Gomez's yet-to-be-named perfume will be able to top Justin Bieber's record-topping bottle. Probably not, but the battle should draw some cute competition between the couple.
At the end of the day, Gomez and Bieber really have their fans in a catch 22: Do they go for the scent that their favorite heart-throb Justin Bieber deems perfect for a girl, or do they spritz on the signature fragrance of Bieber's girlfriend herself, Selena Gomez? Decisions, decisions...
