Justin Bieber's 18-year-old girlfriend proved she was well and truly back in the peak of health yesterday when she showed up early to rehearse for the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada yesterday. Beaming with excitement, Selena looked to be enjoying every moment of her practice session and was glowing with health as she laughed and joked with event organisers.
Dressed in a cute red and grey striped vest teamed with a pair of white denim shorts, the teen star looked effortlessly stylish as always, and totally at ease with her role as co-host. The MuchMusic Video Awards are the biggest Music Awards ceremony in Canada, so it was essential that the Wizards of Waverly Place star was in tip top condition again. The event will see Selena share hosting duties with Irish heartthrob, actor Colin Farrell.
Farrell is currently in Canada shooting the remake of the 1990 movie, Total Recall and will join Selena on stage to introduce performances from the likes of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Canadian-born singer, Avril Lavigne. On accepting her prestigious role as the event's co-host, Selena recently told the Toronto Herald: 'It's exciting and scary at the same time because (Wizards) was my safety net. 'That's all I really know so it'll be interesting to detach from that and be on my own.'Selena has had a rocky few weeks after she fell ill and was admitted into hospital for 24 hours with malnutrition last week. But a number of high-energy performances from the singer have proved that she is now back at her physical best and loving every minute of her stage time.
Fans of the Disney star can expect to see her give it all she's got following a fantastic live performance on Good Morning America on Friday. Selena hopped, skipped and jumped her way across the enormous Central Park stage in New York, much to the delight of the GMA audience. Moments before hitting the GMA stage, Selena tweeted: 'I'm so excited about performing on @GMA!!! Can't wait for y'all to hear my new single.'
