Selena Gomez enjoy in People’s Choice Awards 2011:The People’s Choice Awards kick off the start of the awards season this Wednesday on CBS and as we get closer to air time we are getting a little bit better of an idea how the show is going to look. We already know that it will be hosted by Queen Latifah and we already know who the nominees are. The voting continues to determine who the winners will be and we now also know that Vanessa Williams will announce during the show that the Special Olympics is the official charity of this year’s People’s Choice Awards.

When it comes to the live performers for the show, things have been a little foggier. There has been confirmation that Kid Rock will perform and today we got confirmation that Selena Gomez will also be performing. Technically speaking it will be Selena Gomez and the Scene that will be performing.  Gomez seems to split her time between performing solo and with her band The Scene. The difference is that Gomez’s solo work is pretty much straight forward pop while her work with the band has a little more of a rock edge to it. For the People’s Choice Awards we will get the more rocking Gomez.

Selena Gomez has plenty to Rock about recently. Her band’s current album A Year Without Rain debuted at number 4 on the Billboard top 200 and seems to be doing pretty well. Her solo career in both acting and singing is doing fantastic and not only is she typically considered one of the nicest, most generous young stars out there, but it was confirmed that she is also dating Justin Bieber. While she may not openly admit it and had said she is just friends with him, they were photographed together over the weekend. She was in her bikini and he in his swim trunks and they were all over each other, kissing and arm in arm. He even went in for a booty feel. That sounds a like it might be a little more than just friendship.
