One of the latest polls to come out about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reveals some surprises, but the surprises aren't just about Selena and Justin; they're more about the fans participating in the poll. With all the media talk about how young the fans seem for this pop singing couple, they've answered a question coming from a mature point of view. This points to a more mature fan base for Selena than Justin, or at least a more mature thinking one.

"Do you think Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will get married?" This is the straightforward question asked of the couple's fans. While most young kids would probably jump all over that "yes" button, because they're not looking that far into the future, that wasn't the case. The answers for "yes" and "no" were almost split right down the middle. Fans voted "Yes" 42.38% and "No" 41.7%, with the remaining percentage making up the "I don't know" option, as seen on Hollywood Life.

While Selena and Justin make one fairy tale couple today, they're still only in their teens (OK Selena's a stone's throw away from 20, but she's still 19 today). Not many people marry their high-school sweetheart, which is basically one way to describe a couple of teenagers in love, so Selena and Justin fall under this umbrella. The reason they don't marry their teenage boyfriend or girlfriend is because they mature at different rates, and they are just finding their way in the world as far as their own identity.

Now many would say that Justin and Selena already found their identities, and they did, in the entertainment world. These two are still at an age where they're learning about themselves, what they like, and even where they want to go in life. For this reason, a gap more often than not starts to form and divide teenage sweethearts, which isn't any one person's fault, it's just the way a human matures.

It's surprising to see that almost half of Justin and Selena's fans answered, "No" that they don't think these two will marry. Even the "I don't know" was a mature response. It's really a grown-up way of looking at things, which shows that Jelena has a few fans that are more mature than maybe the media's given them credit for in the past?

Selena Gomez recently dished about her love for Justin Bieber, and how before dating him she "wasted a year" with a prior boyfriend. Do you think that "wasted year" is in reference to either Taylor Lautner or Nick Jonas?

According to a report from ApunKaChoice, Selena loves the openness and honesty she shares with Justin Bieber, and the fact that they try to maintain normalcy within their relationship. She claims she didn't have that in a prior relationship.

"I was in a relationship previously where I had to hide everything and it wasn't my choice," Selena explains. "I had to go through different exits and take separate cars and do the craziest things, and it just really wasn't worth it. It was like a year of my life completely wasted."

So here's what fans are wondering. Was that wasted year spent with Taylor Lautner or with Nick Jonas? It seems Selena Gomez dated each of these young men--and each relationship lasted for about a year.

Selena Gomez is bringing down the house with the South American leg of her tour and her album, "When the Sun Goes Down" just went gold in Mexico. While her hard work and tenacity finally paid off when she first embarked on her "We Own the Night" tour, it looked as if she might not make it. Her reviews were so-so and the audience was full of some of the youngest kids ever at a pop concert. That's changed and Selena's on the path that she's dreamed about.

Selena said late last year that she wasn't planning on recording any new music in 2012, but she didn't see the success yet that she'd enjoy while touring in South America. At the time she decided to put a hold on any new music, she was far from the fame that her boyfriend Justin Bieber enjoys and the road to get there looked really long. It looks like that road just got shorter. And while she's not anywhere near the "Bieber Fever" height in the music scene, with a record going gold and the rave reviews coming in, it's now looks like a practical goal.

Instead of the music, Selena signed on to a few movies. Apparently, she is trying her hand out at some serious acting, but is this her first love, or does she enjoy the music world? Selena might have jumped the gun when she decided to put her new music production on hold. Sure, she's discouraged at first, but she didn't give herself enough time to work through the kinks and get herself to the confidence level she's at today.

After the success of this latest tour, Selena needs to reconsider the direction she wants to go in. While it's not an easy road, it's open for her and she can navigate it to fame if she just stays with it. After a gold record she can't stop there, why wouldn't she strike while the iron's still hot?

Selena Gomez is trying to get away from the Disney image and move on to a more grown-up world, but her latest attempt is getting criticism from parent's groups. Selena appears on the cover of Cosmo, and this magazine is full of sexually explicit material. Not that Selena is inappropriate in her poses or looks, it's the publication that reads very sexual, and most of Selena's fans are still young girls.

The former Disney kid looks wonderful on the cover, showing off her figure in an athletic-looking outfit, but what's displayed all around Selena's picture on the cover is a different ball of wax. "Your Orgasm Guaranteed," "50 Sex Tips," and "The New Tricks Experts Swear By" are materials not meant for young teens, but putting Selena on the cover invites this age group.

One of the main criticisms about Cosmo is its promotion of casual sex; critics say it encourages this type of sexual activity. The American Academy of Pediatrics reports, "exposure to sexual content in music, movies, television, and magazines accelerates adolescent sexual activity and increases their risk of engaging in early sexual intercourse," according to The Improper.

While the twenty something and over set can get some valuable information out of Cosmo around sexual relationships, kids coming off the Disney scene are just too young to read a magazine that offers articles that detail how to have anal sex.

This is a tough call when it comes to the right and wrong of it, with Selena at the age that Cosmo targets, but the same isn't true for her fans. Selena does have the right as a woman heading into her twenties to take this grown-up journey, but where does her liability to her fans factor into all this? Any magazine with Selena donning the cover will entice her young fans to want to read this, but is this Selena's responsibility?

It's still the parents' place to watch what their kids read, so putting this responsibility on Selena isn't fair. She has a right at her age to test these waters, but she is also risking it with her fans. It's not the 12- and 13-year-old kids that spend their money on her records, videos, movies, and Selena Gomez T-Shirts, it's their parents that do this. With Selena taking this leap, which she has a right to do, she's risking a fall-out from the parents of her fans. Is this worth the risk that can only get answered by Selena?

Selena Gomez not only has a pop sensation boyfriend in Justin Bieber and a best friend in fellow singer-starlet Taylor Swift, she's also apparently a big fan of another young entertainer (and fellow Disney star): Miley Cyrus. Gomez was reportedly seen at the Luis Munoz Marin Airport in Puerto Rico on Monday afternoon with her so-called entourage, which most likely included her band members from the Scene. They were en route to Panama for another concert, but the "Who Says" songstress wasn't humming the lyrics to her own songs. Instead she was moving and grooving to a popular beat by Cyrus!

While grabbing a bite to eat at the airport's Tropical D'lights Bar & Grill, Gomez was seen "bobbing her head and singing along to Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the USA'," according to Celebuzz. A waiter at the restaurant also confirmed she was "sweet" and "beautiful," but most fans already are aware of that little piece of info. It's always so fascinating to see what kind of music (other than their own!) popular entertainers like Selena Gomez gravitate towards. After successful stage time in Puerto Rico, not to mention some time with her main guy, Justin Bieber, who visited her there, Gomez must have been feeling the "Party" vibe.

Selena Gomez may be a fan of Miley Cyrus' music, but it looks like she may also be taking a page from the former Hannah Montana's style playbook. At the airport, Gomez went super-casual, slightly grungy, but also a bit sexy with an ensemble that daresay resembled a Cyrus outfit. Daily Mail has the photos of her fashion statement, which included super-short lace hot pants paired with a ripped sheer white T-shirt through which her hot pink bra was easily glimpsed. She also wore a long patterned cardigan over it all. Short shorts and sheer shirts? Definitely hints of Miley moments, there... of course, she would have probably skipped the bra.

Back in December, Selena Gomez appealed to her fans to help choose the notes for her new fragrance. The people have spoken! What scent did they find sweetest?

Fans flocked to raspberry, freesia and vanilla for the fragrance’s top, heart and base notes, respectively. Gomez announced the winners via email to those who participated. “I am very excited to share this new perfume with each and every one of you,” Gomez enthused after revealing the victorious scents. “Please stay tuned for information regarding the launch of my fragrance, available at Macy’s this May, and for the announcement of our 10 lucky winners who will be flown out to New York to help me make my final decision. Again, thank you for your help!”

Raspberry, freesia and vanilla were in the lead by a wide margin even when the poll was first announced. Raspberry was up against apple and melon for the top note spot, while freesia faced off with jasmine and vanilla vied for the position against coconut. Anyone else getting hungry just reading this?

We can’t wait to smell Gomez’s new fragrance. If her ad campaigns are anything like the ones her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, did for his Someday scent, we expect a lot of laughs — and a lot of sales.

Selena Gomez was caught napping for a few minutes at LAX during the wee hours between Friday night and Saturday morning--after which she clutched her pillow and boarded her flight. Her hair askew and her clothes a bit rumpled, it was very clear that Justin Bieber's girlfriend needed a good night's sleep.

According to a report from Celebuzz, Selena was clearly quite exhausted, and with good reason, too. First off, it was in the middle of the night when she boarded her flight at LAX, and secondly, she had only recently arrived at the airport from her very successful UNICEF fundraiser at the West Hollywood House of Blues.

Selena performed to a sold out crowd at the House of Blues. Boyfriend Justin Bieber was back stage watching over their adopted dog Baylor. Joined on stage by Big Time Rush, Selena Gomez raised more than $200,000 for UNICEF to benefit children around the world.

That's enough to make anyone tired. No wonder Selena looked like she hadn't slept in days when spotted at the airport. And since the UNICEF concert was said to be the start of her World Tour--who knows where she was flying off to in the middle of the night?

Hopefully once she boarded her flight, Selena Gomez got cozy with her pillow, some headphones and some mellow tunes--and settled in for a good night's sleep. It will be fun to watch reports of her upcoming tour to find out which city she'll be performing in next--hopefully fully rested and ready to go!

After announcing the launch of her debut fragrance back in July, actress and singer Selena Gomez has finally decided on how the scent will smell — letting her fans decide on the notes. After boyfriend Justin Bieber’s debut scent Someday broke records last year and earned US$3 million (RM9.31 million) in its first three weeks on sale at US department store Macy’s, the pressure was on Gomez to come up with a best-selling scent.

Fans have been voting at selenagomezperfumes.com since last fall, and it was announced this week that the top note will be raspberry, the middle will be purple freesia and the base will include vanilla. Further details on the fragrance are still to be announced, although it has been revealed the scent will launch at Macy’s this May.

After the publishers of perfume tome Fragrances of the World by Michael Edwards revealed a total of 73 celebrity scents were launched in 2011, Gomez’s innovative approach may help her stand out in another year set to be dominated by celebrity scents, with launches by Madonna and Lady Gaga in spring 2012 predicted to be big sellers.

Selena Gomez may have a hot topic of a boyfriend in Justin Bieber, but even she needs her own version of a girl's only night out. And for her recent girly rendezvous, it was actually quite the star-studded affair. Gomez met up with five other friends, including bestie and fellow pop sensation Taylor Swift and another pop tart JoJo, to spend some quality time together.

In an adorable Twitter photo posted by JoJo, the girls are seen putting on their best faces and posing for the camera. It's quite the sassy lineup with Jo casting a sultry model-like stare, Swift flashing her million-dollar, girl-next-door smile and Gomez (in quite a flirty leopard print top) slapping her hand on her hip and puckering up with plenty of spirited attitude. Bieber would approve! One of the girls in the picture even looks like she may be channeling her inner Twilight or Vampire Diaries tendencies, with her pale complexion, jet black hair and a slightly scary, open-mouth expression... perhaps the camera caught her at the wrong time! While it's not clear where Selena Gomez and her girls-only brigade were going or what their exact plans were, it seems they were set to bring on lots of fun. And, aside from boyfriend Justin Bieber, Gomez's other BFF (her dog Baylor!) also apparently missed out on this girl's night out. Maybe next time pets and/or boyfriends will be allowed! Probably not, though, especially given Taylor Swift's tumultuous guy trouble.

But it's all about balance, and Selena Gomez hasn't left Justin Bieber in the dust. She recently spent plenty of Q.T. with him, as the couple enjoyed a rather romantic date at the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland. While Gomez and Bieber did obviously cater to their inner childlike side at the theme park (rides, games, lifesize Disney characters!), they also indulged in some very grown-up PDA, kissing by a refrigerator door at Jamba Juice. Now that's something to gossip about among girlfriends!
